Page one of my Anthrocon 2009 field report. I'm going a little more in-depth this year to hone my journalist comic skills. (Gotta train for that Tokyo trip this fall, hopefully...) A lot of crazy, noteworthy stuff happened this trip, so I'll be updating with more pages through the rest of the week.

And yeah, the guy in the fursuit getting crazy on Patrick's guitar actually did happen.

As hilarious as this is, I'm still mildly horrified by the fact you actually went to one of those.
This is awesome, though.
I wonder what furries are like in real life? I've never met one, at least I think I haven't.

I admit, I am still being endlessly amused at all of your guys' photos and comments and things on facebook. This is amazing. I don't really know about or like furries at all but.... that seems like an amazing convention. Hahahaha, so many antics! I can't wait to read more of your journal comic- I like the way you're doing the lettering here, in the little box shapes!

And thanks! Even if you don't like furries, I hope that you'll at least walk away with a clearer idea of what they're all about by the time I'm finished with this comic.

God, I always have this irrational fear that my left hand will get hit by a car or burnt or caught in a blender or something, and then I'll be totally out of a job.
